Name: Dravyn (he/him)

Age: 24 (born circa 4686 AR)

Background Summary

Dravyn’s earliest memories are fragments: torchlight on damp stone, spell-chant in forgotten tongues, the distant roar of something vast moving beneath the world. He grew up in Kaer Maga, where the unusual is tolerated and the monstrous can vanish into a crowd. No one knew his parents—not even Dravyn himself. He recalls nothing before the age of 10.

As a child, faint scales and sharpened features marked him as different. With adolescence, his dragonblood fully asserted itself: horn ridges formed, his eyes began to glow with molten violet light, and by adulthood his head had transformed into something unmistakably draconic. Fire never touched him the way it should; heat felt like an old, familiar pressure rather than pain.

A reclusive wizard—brilliant, greedy, obsessed with the ancient Runelords of Thassilon—took him in as apprentice and experiment alike. Under this master, Dravyn learned arcane theory, discipline, and the careful brutality of spellcraft. He wrote runes until his hands cramped, calculated the geometry of destruction, and suppressed emotion in favor of cold precision. Yet his master sought only power, not wisdom, seeing Wrath as a tool sharpened by cruelty.

Everything ended in a Thassilonian ruin deep beneath Varisia. There, master and apprentice uncovered an original text written by Emperor Xin himself—a relic predating the corruption of sin magic. It spoke of the Virtues of Rule, of authority tempered by responsibility, of wrath not as blind destruction but as righteous anger: the fire that burns away injustice.

The ruin’s defenses awakened. Dravyn survived. His master did not. The last clear memory from that day is screaming runes and scorched air. When he emerged, bloodied and alone, the text was in his hands.

Appearance & Manner

Physical Form: Towering and imposing; fully draconic head with angular features, black scales, and horn ridges; glowing violet eyes that pulse with inner fire; heavy plate armor etched with Thassilonian runes

Bearing: Commands attention without trying; carries himself like someone born to lead, though he remembers no throne, no lineage, no family

Presence: Quiet intensity; words weighed like sigils; movement economical and purposeful; a watchful, assessing gaze that misses nothing

Voice Guide

Tone: Rune-etched poise; precise; restrained authority; speaks with the measured cadence of someone who knows words carry weight

Diction Cues: “The sigil aligns…” / “By measured will…” / “Wrath restrained is power refined.” / “Strength should bear responsibility openly.”

Inner Conflict: The anger still whispers to him in moments of violence. But he has words to answer it now—Xin’s words.

Signature Tools & Tactics

Signature Weapon: A glaive—long, sweeping, decisive—that serves as his arcane bond. The Wrath rune is engraved upon it. In Dravyn’s hands, it functions as both a martial weapon and wizard’s staff, a judge’s instrument that only he can prepare or use.

Combat Philosophy: Fights from the front in heavy plate; refuses to hide behind spell and ally. Reach, control, and decisive force—mirrors his understanding of righteous wrath.

Tactical Approach: Establish control (positioning, reach, threatened space), then deliver decisive spell or cut. Leans on presence and intimidation to set the tone when recorded.
